13 weeks and OB appt

I totally forgot to do my weekly update.

13 weeks 1 day
Weekly update

How far along: 13 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss:  LOL, I started out 10 pounds heavier than I was in January with this pregnancy, I blame Lupron, BCP, injectables, and progesterone for that.  I was bloated halfway into the 6 week process.  I have gained one pound since 9 weeks pregnant (but I don't think I have gained any up until that point, I didn't know my weight before this cycle).

Maternity clothes: Yes. There aren't many shirts left that cover my belly...the problem with a lot of maternity shirts (and pants/jeans) is that they aren't long enough for me.  I wear a 33 inseam jean and there aren't many maternity jeans that fit right.  Thankfully I have about 4 pairs.

Stretch marks: Leftover ones from DD. Hoping that Bio-oil and that pregnancy non-scented Palmer's lotion work or at least help a bit.

Sleep: Sleeping ok.
Movement: I know I am getting close.

Cravings/Aversions: Pickles.  Happened around this time with DD also.  Oh, and olives.  Yum.  Aversions:  Eggs.  Gross.

Gender: We are green team. Finding out at birth. Been having weird feelings it is a boy.

Symptoms: Heartburn.
What I miss: Don't miss sushi anymore, had some last week (cooked) and it was great.  I might have to make that a once a month thing...;)

What I look forward to: I know I will feel movement before my next appointment in 3 weeks....:)
Moods: Uh, is hungry a mood?  LOL

Milestones: Had my 1st trimester screening, did great on 2 of 3 tests, now waiting on results from bloodwork.  13 week appointment today, hearing the heartbeat (OB exclaimed when he heard the hb, it was so strong!)

Medical Concerns: The subchorionic hemorrage.  Had an u/s yesterday and saw that one hemorrage had healed but the other one is still there and near the cervix, will probably see more bleeding.
Weekly Wisdom: Uh...braindead...no weekly wisdom.

Best moment this week: Seeing 2 arms, 2 legs, nasal bone, spine, beating heart, stomach, etc at my 1st tri screening yesterday.  Another good moment, getting my OB to sign off on my vacation in less than 4 weeks.  Taking a 7 day Caribbean cruise....had to get OB permission...:)

Worst moment this week: None.  Hoping to have a great one without any bad moments.

1st Trimester screening

Hello!  Today started my week off great.  Last week, eh, not so much.  So today I have an appointment at a completely different hospital in a different part of town (of course).  The CNM was awesome, if the labor and delivery dept is full at my hospital I will have no issues going to this other hospital.  I had a great u/s, 2 arms, 2 legs, definitely a nose going on, great hb 150bpm, stomach, etc.  Got my finger pricked for bloodwork and I was on my way back to work.  The CNM said the bloodwork would be back in 7-10 days and that I passed the 2 other tests.  The only issue was that the subchorionic hemorrage that was by my cervix is a bit larger (doubled in size) than it was last week, the one near the top of the uterus is gone (healed).

I have a 13 week appointment tomorrow, supposed to schedule another u/s then also.  I had been debating on changing to a CNM at my clinic, but now I am not so sure as my OB has been awesome.

Guess I should shave my legs for that appointment, but I am hoping for no pelvic exam...LOL

Update

This whole post is TMI and kinda gross, so don't read if you are squeamish. Everything at the moment is ok, and we even got another 3d pic out of it...;)

Well, yesterday turned out to be the day from hell.  I was at work last night (I work afternoons) and I felt a gush of fluid.  I freaked out a bit as this has never happened, I ran to the bathroom (feeling a gush every time I took a step) and saw that it was blood.  I left work in a hurry to get to the ER.  I arrived and my husband was already there waiting for me.  We went in and they took care of all the paperwork and got me into a room.  I talked with a nurse and went to the bathroom, I had soaked through 2 pads in 30 minutes.  I gave them a urine sample (guessing so they could check my levels?) and went back to the room and tried not to freak out.  My doctor had explained to me yesterday morning that I had this subchrionic hematoma and that it could start bleeding and if it did then I was to go in to get checked out.  So I explained this to the ER doc and we got an u/s right away.  I was so scared even though I knew the bean had a heartbeat at 12:45pm before I went into work.  I asked the u/s tech if there was a heartbeat and she showed us that there was.  I was a bit relieved, but still had the crampy feeling.  The tech even gave us a 3D pic.  The ER doc explained the SCH (subchrionic hematoma) and told us that I could bleed for weeks from it (I have 2 SCH's that measure 3x1cm and 2x1cm) or I could start to heal right away.  We left the ER and I have been hanging out on the couch since.

Went in to visit the OB today and he pulled out the doppler and Charlie has a heartbeat of 150bpm.  The bleeding has subsided (just seeing old blood now) but I am taking it easy as to not aggravate the SCH's...

A bit of a scare....

Yesterday I was a little off.  Not tired, but crampy.  This morning I woke up and found that there was a reason for the cramping, a little more spotting than I would have like to have seen.  I called the OB and we are going to keep a watch on it, still cramping and my next appointment is in 1 week.  Hoping that it is not anything serious and that the little bean (ha, plum now) is hanging on.  Checked for the heartbeat as I was freaked out and heard that wonderful whoosh whoosh so that made me feel a tad bit better.

12 Weeks

Weekly update

How far along: 12 weeks.  At 12 weeks pregnant, your baby is 2.2 inches long and weighs up to half an ounce, about the size of a large lime or a plum.  Craziness!
Total weight gain/loss: No clue.  Not worried about it as I can't control it.  Found that out when I was pregnant with DD.

Maternity clothes: Yes. Happens much earlier with #2.  I still have some shirts that fit, but pants are definitely maternity.  Wish I would have bought a size larger, guess I will have to buy a few more pairs as the ones I am wearing are getting tight around my belly.  Of course everything else fits fine...:(

Stretch marks: Leftover ones from DD. None that are getting bigger or anything...Yet. Started using Bio-oil and that Palmer's pregnancy lotion. (not the cocoa butter, that smell makes me want to hurl.)

Sleep: Sleeping ok, been using a pregnancy pillow, money well spent as with DD I just used a body pillow, it flattened out by the end of the pregnancy and the new one I have is super thick and firm.

Movement: Hummm...it is probably too early but I swear I have felt some movement a few times in the last couple of days.

Cravings/Aversions: Cravings: Don't really have any yet. Can't remember when I started craving sweets with DD, but I couldn't stop eating them. Aversions:  Eggs.  Haven't had any since I found out I was pregnant.

Gender: We are green team. Finding out at birth. Been having weird feelings it is a boy.

Symptoms: Hummm...have been taking naps since last week, growing belly, heartburn.

What I miss:  Sushi and beer.  But I can wait until May, isn't going to kill me.

What I look forward to: My next appointment. Can't wait to see how Charlie is doing...;)

Moods: Today I am a bit flustered.  I am not a big fan of drama at work.
Milestones:  People noticing my belly.  LOL

Medical Concerns: My L ovary is a bit sore, I had not noticed until this weekend that it was sore.  Hummm.  Also, concerned about that hemmorage, hoping that it resolves itself.  8 more days until my appointment.  Hoping I can get a u/s that day to see Charlie and hear about the concerns the doctor has.

Weekly Wisdom: A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.

Best moment this week:  Finding the time to take naps.  LOL.  Oh, and realizing I have just a few more classes left and then I will have that degree!  Then I won't be working full-time, going to school full-time AND losing a weekend every month to military drill.  Graduation is a month+ before the due date....;)

Worst moment this week:  My first day at work this week (today) was not the best.  Wonderful after working all weekend also.  Booo.

Waiting for that feeling

I love being pregnant.  With DD pregnancy was great (minus the weight gain).  This time around I am hoping to keep the weight gain to under 45 pounds, especially since I was 25 pounds heavier when I got pregnant this time.  I have been pretty lucky so far, no nausea, no vomiting, no constipation (I give that a few more weeks LOL), and I am not extremely tired (I was with DD).

I love the fetal heart monitor that I bought on Amazon, once or twice a week (since last week) I have used it when I was at home and the bladder was full.  DD listened to the heartbeat last weekend, she fell in love with the sound.  I was debating on brining her with us to an appointment to hear the heartbeat but since we can hear it at home we don't need to take her along.

Wednesday.  13 more days until my next appointment and u/s.  Hoping that my ovary and subchrionic hematoma are looking much better.

11 weeks 0 days

Weekly update

How far along: 11 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 6 pounds as of 9/27, I won't weigh again until the nurse does it.

Maternity clothes: Yes.  Happens much earlier with #2.

Stretch marks: Leftover ones from DD. None that are getting bigger or anything...Yet. Started using Bio-oil and that Palmer's pregnancy lotion. (not the cocoa butter, that smell makes me want to hurl.)

Sleep: Sleeping ok, have been getting up to go to the bathroom at least once each night. LOL...only gets better from here!

Movement: Not yet. Anticipating it will happen in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

Cravings/Aversions: Cravings: Funny. When I do end up craving something I better get it fast before I develop an aversion to it. Aversions: Waiting too long to get that thing I was craving...LOL

Gender: We are green team. Finding out at birth. Been having weird feelings it is a boy. DH's grandma has dreams and swears someone in the family will be having a girl, we are the only ones pregnant right now...

Symptoms: Bloated, getting more tired at weird times (afternoon), nausea...and hot flashes.  Blah...

What I miss: All the stuff I can't have.

What I look forward to: My next appointment. Can't wait to see how Charlie is doing...;)

Moods: Lazy.

Milestones: Hearing the heartbeat with my cool new fetal heart monitor.  Had a junky one with DD, this time I splurged and spent an extra $30.

Medical Concerns: A few since my appointment on 9/27. My OB called with my u/s results. My left ovary was massive. Bigger than he has seen and was pretty concerned. Concerned enough to make sure I have another u/s after my next appt on 10/26. Also there is a hemorrage that he wants to keep checking on, he mentioned that they usually go away on their own, but said to go straight to the hospital if there is any spotting at all. ~ Nothing has happened so far, had some round ligament pain off and on, but that's it.

Weekly Wisdom: "10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react." I really need to think about this...;)

Best moment this week: hearing a beautiful heartbeat, and having DD hear it too...

Worst moment this week:  Just the anticipation of my next appointment on 10/26.  And the u/s I will be having after the appointment.

Weekly update

How far along: 10 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 6 pounds as of last Tuesday, I am not counting the weight I gained the last 2 years on all the drugs I have been on.  HA!

Maternity clothes: Yes and no. I have 1 pair of pants that still fit (belly band) and I wear larger cut shirts.  It is extremely hard to find maternity jeans that fit right.  Stupid long legs.

I have felt stuff and questioned it, but I know it is a bit too early.  Blaming it on gas.

Symptoms: Bloated, getting more tired at weird times (afternoon), nausea...

What I miss:  All the stuff I can't have.

What I look forward to:  My next appointment.  Can't wait to see how Charlie is doing...;)

Moods:  Lazy.

Milestones:  Coming out on facebook.  LOL.  I posted a pic of a bun in an oven and a small blurb about our struggles (some FB friends know about our struggles but most don't).  Then after a day or so, I updated my status because no one "got it".  I updated with "Yes.  That is a bun.  In an oven."  LOL...that did the trick...;)

Medical Concerns: A few since my appointment on Tuesday.

Weekly Wisdom:  "10% of life is made up of what happens to you.  90% of life is decided by how you react."  I really need to think about this...;)

Best moment this week: Seeing Charlie last week!

Worst moment this week:  Uh, the concerns from my OB.  Been a little worried since then, but I understand that nothing I do can change anything.
